Adopt / Letters from Home

We have more than 200 kittens and cats available for adoption at our St. Louis shelter.  See them on PetFinder.com >

Community Rooms

When you visit Animal House, you’ll see why the cats waiting for adoption are so happy. Many of them live in spacious community rooms, each with its own color and theme. (The cats probably don’t care about the themes, but we enjoy them!)

Because we have more than 200 cats and kittens in our care, we are in need of more community rooms. If you’re handy with a hammer and would like to help build a room or two — or if your group would like to sponsor a room by underwriting the cost of its construction — call Brandyn at 314.531.4626 or info@animalhousefund.org.

(Sponsors get to select the theme of their community room!)

Letters from Home

Venus

“Venus” (now “Zero”) is doing extremely well at her new home! She’s gotten much bigger and put on a healthy weight. I re-named her “Zero” because, at first, we would joke that she was like a little ghost cat, always hiding or running away. (Zero is the name of the ghost dog in “A Nightmare Before Christmas,” so it seemed appropriate!) She doesn’t run from me anymore when I go to pet her. In fact, she tends to follow me around everywhere. She’s a very sweet, loving little kitten and her personality is really beginning to shine through. Thank YOU so much for a sweet little cat to come home to and take care of. She makes my day every day.
